  • He worked from circa 1765 to 1775 as a silversmith and general merchant in Portland ME on 13 October 1775, his buildings were burned during the bombardment of the city; his loss was estimated at £683. 3
  • He worked from circa 1776 to 1818 as a silversmith and general merchant in Windham ME served as deacon and in 1783 was one of a committee of three to build a meetinghouse. In 1805 was church treasurer. Erected a number of buildings, occupied a number of different and important offices in town and dealt in groceries (no mention of goldsmithing). 3
