General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were:
• Alternate Mark • Private in Revolutionary War and was at Lexington on the alarm in 1776. 3 • Advertised in the New Hampshire Journal (Walpole NH), 6 Jun 1793, wanting "an apprentice to the goldsmith and clock making business in Walpole, a steady, active boy about thirteen or fourteen years of age." 3 • He worked c 1793 as a silversmith and clockmaker in Walpole NH 4 • Advertised in the Farmer's Weekly Museum, 1803, moving from Walpole to Westminster, Vermont, where he carried on the gold, silver, and clockmaking business in company with Benjamin Kindrick under firm name of EATON & KINDRICK. 3 • He was a partner from 1803 to 1805 with Benjamin Kindreck in Westminister VT as EATON & KINDRECK 4 • Advertised in 1805 (Westminister VT), that the firm of EATON & KENDRECK was dissolved Aug. 8, 1805 and he "continues the Gold and Silversmith business in Westminster." 3 • He worked from after 8 Aug 1805 to 1840 as a silversmith and clockmaker in Westminister VT 4 • Appointed Representative in 1811. 3 • Appointed from 1813 to 1826 as Selectman in Westminister VT 3 Isaiah married Priscilla West. (Priscilla West was born about 1761 in Haverhill MA.) |
