General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were:
• Alternate Mark • Alternate Mark • Apprenticed about 1793 to Joseph Moulton in Newburyport MA 1 • He worked from 1800 to 1816 as a silversmith in Portland ME • Advertised in the Portland Eastern Argus (Portland ME), 1803-1813, from his shop on Fore Street opposite head of Ingraham's Wharf where he manufactured and sold "almost every article in the jewelry line" and silver and pewter ware. 3 • Advertised in the Portland Gazette (Portland ME), 1805-1816, from his shop on Fore Street opposite head of Ingraham's Wharf where he manufactured and sold "almost every article in the jewelry line" and silver and pewter ware.
• Tablespoon, c 1810 Enoch married Sarah Coffin on 8 May 1816 in Newburyport MA. (Sarah Coffin was born on 28 Mar 1789 in Newburyport MA.) |
