• Alternate Mark • Bills to Jeremiah Elfreth in 1731 for tankard and to Richard Hill, Jr., in 1739 for silver buckles. Made salvers dated 1737, the gift of Samuel Sherlock, Chief Justice of Bermuda, to the Devon tribe; snuffbox dated 1757 for Mary Coates from Governor Dinwiddie of Virginia. Commissioned in 1756 by Friendly Association for Regaining and Preserving Peace to make silver ornaments for the Indians. Imported goods from London, 1758-72. 4

Joseph next married Mary Allen on 14 Apr 1748 in Philadelphia PA. (Mary Allen was born on 26 Jun 1716 in Philadelphia PA and died in 1787 in Philadelphia PA.) |
