  Events in his life were:

• Apprenticed about 1823 to George A. Zeumar in Louisville KY ⁵

• He worked in 1831 as a silversmith and jeweler in Louisville KY for E. C. EVANS & Co. ⁴

• He was a partner from 1832 to 1841 with James I. Lemon in Louisville KY as LEMON & KENDRICK. ⁴

• He worked from 1842 to 1873 as a silversmith and jeweler in Louisville KY ⁴

• He was a partner from 1873 to 1880 with William Carnes Kendrick in Louisville KY as WM KENDRICK & SON, with a shop on the south side of Main Street at number 114, just east of the National Hotel. The firm moved in 1875 to west side of Fourth Street at number 336, between Market and Jefferson. By 1877, the shop was at 110 Fourth. ⁴

William married Maria Schwing, daughter of John Godfried Schwing and Mary Kaye. (Maria Schwing was born in 1814 in Louisville KY and died in 1885 in Louisville KY.)
