  Events in his life were:

• Apprenticed about 1781 to Thomas Harland in Norwich CT ¹

• Advertised on 30 Sep 1790 (Norwich CT), his shop opposite Capt. Jabez Perkins' store at Norwich Landing. ³

• Probably moved to New London after death of his brother Gurdon, and possibly took over his shop. A newspaper notice on Aug. 17, 1796 read, "Erastus Tracy, formerly of Norwich, aged 26 years, of consumption." Either his birth date or his age was wrongly reported. ³
