General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were: • Hartford CT, 1783: name appeared on Tax List; amount £23/0/0. 3 • Advertised in the Connecticut Courant (Hartford CT), 24 May 1784, "Has for sale a variety of articles in the silversmiths and jewellers branches, best plated buckles . . . at his shop opposite Dr. Solomon Smith's, which he will exchange for country produce, a few lively young shipping horses, good live geese feathers, Tow cloth . . . N. B. Most kinds of articles made and mended in the silversmiths and jewelry branches of said shop. Also the Brazier's and Founder's business carried on; and all kinds of mending in that way performed as usual." Same repeated in following three months. 3 • Advertised in the Connecticut Courant (Hartford CT), 9 May 1785, notifying public that his shop was entered and goods stolen. 3 |
