- Silver bearing mark D•ROGERS, formerly ascribed to Daniel Rogers of Newport, Rhode Island properly belongs to the Ipswich goldsmith. The nucleus for this new theory is church silver at Essex Institute, including cans and beakers formerly owned by churches in Ipswich and Hamilton, some of which bear the D•ROGERS mark. A number of spoons marked similarly or with his initials have also been located. His daybook, now in the Essex Institute, shows that he made quantities of gold beads for fellow goldsmiths. 3
- He signed a will c 1816. 10
