  Events in his life were:

• He worked from circa 1776 to 1807 as a silversmith in Middletown CT from a shop at the Northwest corner of Main Street and Henshaw Lane (later College Street). His business was sporatic and fellow silversmith Samuel Canfield, acting as sherrif, had to make several calls on him for debts. ³

Joseph married Jerusha Marsh on 21 Sep 1765 in New Hartford CT. (Jerusha Marsh was born on 20 Aug 1744 in New Hartford CT.)
