  Events in his life were:

• He was first a printer, later a watchmaker and goldsmith. Lived for a while in Red Hook, NY, probably in the 1850's, where he was an officer of the church; also, in Michigan, according to Curtis in Early Silver, eventually returning to his native Sharon. His name appears in Business Directory of Connecticut, published in 1857. ³

John married Joanna Bailey on 4 Jun 1809 in Sharon CT. (Joanna Bailey was born in Jun 1789 in Sharon CT and died on 11 Jan 1848 in Sharon CT.)
