  Events in his life were:

• In addition to silversmithing, also carried on a bookbinding business and was keeper of first bookstore in Greenfield. Active in civic, local regiment and church affairs. ³

• Appointed in 1773 as Selectman and Assessor in Greenfield MA and again in 1811 and 1813. ³

• Advertised in the The Impartial Intelligencer (Greenfield MA), 23 May 1792, that he was re-entering partnership with John Russell of Greenfield for clockmaking and "goldsmith business." ³

• He was a partner after 23 May 1792 with John Russell in Greenfield MA ³

David married Orra Bliss on 4 May 1801 in Greenfield MA. (Orra Bliss was born on 3 Mar 1769 in Springfield MA and died on 5 Feb 1854.)
