General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were: • He worked c 1738 as a gold- and silversmith in Boston MA 6 • Apprenticed from 1730 to 1737 to John Burt in Boston MA 7 • Master to Benjamin Goodwin 14 Jan 1745-1748 in Boston MA. 7 At his master's death, Goodwin finished his training under Jacob Hurd. • Boston MA, 15 Dec 1748: his estate, appraised by Joseph Clark, was valued at more than £2,100. 7 John married Elizabeth Eames, daughter of Nathaniel Eames and Hannah Grafton, on 1 May 1740 in Boston MA. (Elizabeth Eames was born on 26 Oct 1715 in Boston MA.) |
