• Appointed in 1781 as Quartermaster of the 2^nd Troop of Horse in the 2^nd Regiment of Light-Horse in Connecticut by Connecticut General Assembly ³

• He worked from 1800 to 1825 as a silversmith in Meriden CT ⁴

Amos married Sarah Griswold on 8 Apr 1767 in East Haddam CT. (Sarah Griswold was born on 11 May 1749 in Wethersfield CT and died on 15 Feb 1791.)
