  Events in his life were:

• He worked from 1835 to 1846 as a silversmith, jeweler, and watchmaker in Cleveland OH first with a shop at 41 Superior Street, then by 1837, at 117. In 1845, he had moved to 49 Huron. He sold his business to John Coon in 1846. ⁷

• He appeared on the 1880 census taken at Brooklyn NY, listed as a watchmaker.

Benjamin married Adeline Deming on 2 May 1838 in Hartford CT. (Adeline Deming was born on 4 Mar 1814 in Wethersfield CT.)
