General notes: Silversmith and clockmaker Events in his life were: • Apprenticed from circa 1790 to 1795 to Jesse Hopkins in Waterbury CT • He worked from 1806 to 1835 as a clockmaker in Waterbury CT • He was a partner from 1829 to 1835 with Benjamin Franklin Leavenworth in Waterbury CT manufacturing gilt buttons. • He was a partner from 1835 to 1849 with Corydon Stillman Sperry in Waterbury CT manufacturing gilt, brass, and cloth buttons. Mark married Anna Cook in 1795 in Waterbury CT. (Anna Cook was born on 8 Mar 1778 in Waterbury CT and died on 9 Apr 1842 in Waterbury CT.) |
