• He was a partner from 1850 to 1854 with Pulaski and William Jacks in San Francisco CA retaining the name of JACKS & WOODRUFF, then JACKS & BROTHERS.

Hamlet married Amelia Woodruff, daughter of Aaron Woodruff and Polly Clark.
