  Events in his life were:

• He was a partner from 1793 to 1807 with Dr. Daniel Noble Carrington and Eli Mygatt in Danbury CT with shop and store located on Main Street. ³

• He worked from 1808 to 1817 as a silversmith in New York City NY as N. TAYLOR & Co, with a shop at 88 Broadway. The building, formerly owned by William Garret Forbes, was purchased by Naylor in 1809. ¹⁵
