• He was a partner from circa 1836 to 1840 with Thomas Frederick Rhodes in Cincinnati OH as RHODES & ANTHONY & Co.

John married Anne Whiting Rhodes, daughter of Thomas Rhodes and Lydia Keene, on 16 Oct 1832 in Providence RI. (Anne Whiting Rhodes was born on 19 Oct 1810 in Providence RI and died on 6 Dec 1898 in West Newton MA.)
