• She was a partner from 1798 to 1800 with John Charles Jenckes in Providence RI as JENCKES & Co. Impartial Observer (01 Sept 1800), also U. S. Observer (18 Sept 1800) reported the partnership of John Gibbs' former apprentice, John C. Jenckes, and his widow, Elizabeth. The firm was dissolved on 01 Aug 1800.

Elizabeth married John Gladding Gibbs, son of John Gibbs and Sarah Carey, on 22 May 1774 in Newport RI. (John Gladding Gibbs was born on 20 Oct 1751 in Bristol RI and died on 6 Oct 1797 in Providence RI.)
