• Advertised in the Cumberland Gazette, 23 Nov 1789, announcing that he, a clock- and watchmaker from Boston, intended to carry on the clock- and watchmaking business next door to the printing office in Portland at No. 4 Exchange Street. ³

• He was a partner from 1823 to 1824 with Henry Quincy in Portland ME as WILLIAM S. QUINCY & SON. ³
