General notes: Silversmith and engraver Events in his life were: • He worked from 1825 to 1832 as a silversmith and jeweler in Boston MA 4 • He was a partner from 1833 to 1834 with James Boynton in Boston MA as CARY, BONTON & Co, jewelers and combmakers. 4 • He was a partner from 1835 to 1837 with James Boynton and Philip R. Woodford in Boston MA as CARY, BOYNTON & WOODFORD, jewelers and combmakers. 4
• He was a partner from 1838 to 1844 with William H. Cary in Boston MA as I. H. CARY & Co. 4 • He worked from 1844 to 1865 as a banknote engraver in Boston MA also serving as manager and treasurer of the American Bank Note Co. Isaac married Julia Willard, daughter of Simon Willard and Mary Bird, in 1830 in Boston MA. (Julia Willard was born on 28 Jan 1802 in Boston MA and died on 23 Jun 1861 in Boston MA.) |
