• Goldsmith by trade working in Providence. Became quite wealthy. Member of Baptist Church. Smith's Civil and Military List show he was Ensign in First Providence County in 1810. ³

• Providence RI, 1824: listed in Directory as a jeweler working at 319 North Main Street. ³

Arnold married Phebe Dexter on 12 Sep 1812. (Phebe Dexter was born on 8 Feb 1794 in Smithfield RI and died on 9 Jan 1879 in Providence RI.)
