• He was a partner from 1820 to 1828 with Josiah Penfield and Frederick Marquand in Savannah GA as PENFIELD & Co. 4 • He was a partner from 19 May 1826 to 13 Sep 1828 with Josiah Penfield in Savannah GA as JOSIAH PENFIELD & Co. 12 • He worked from 1828 to 1850 as a silversmith in Savannah GA signing himself in advertisements as "M. Eastman; surviing partner and succesor to the late firm of J. Penfield & Co." His business apparently continued after his death and was eventually sold to George M. Griffin in 1852. 12 • Appointed in 1830 as City Constable in Savannah GA 12 • Appointed in 1844 as Keeper of the Savannah city clock in Savannah GA 3 |
