    Engraved A present from Mr / Josiah Bronson / to the Church of Crist [sic], in / Middlebury / Æ 88 on the front and Given / Sept / AF 1800 / price / £ 2 = 6 = 0. A matching cup was also given to the church by Josiah's brother Isaac. Shethar's name is engraved somewhat crudely on the bottom.

  • He was a partner from 1806 to 1809 with Richard Gorham in New Haven CT as SHETHAR & GORHAM. Shop on west side of High St. on land leased from Isaac Townsend. Partners sold the lease in 1809. 3
