  Events in his life were:

• He worked from circa 1820 to 1824 as a silversmith, jeweler, and watchmaker in Ithaca NY ¹⁷

• He was a partner from 1824 to 1825 with Sylvester Munger in Ithaca NY as MUNGER & DODGE. The partnership was dissolved in late June and Munger continued on in the old shop for several months before leaving Ithaca for parts unknown. ¹⁷
