• He worked from circa 1735 to 1770 as a silversmith and jeweler in Boston MA
In 1761 he was paid £2.16 by the estate of William Cowell, suggesting that he worked for a time as a journeyman in Cowell's shop or did contract work for it. ⁷

• Obituary printed in the Boston News-Letter (Boston MA) on 18 Nov 1773 ⁷
"Mr. Healey [sic], goldsmith, died in Boston abt Nov. 15, 1773."

Samuel married Mary Reed, daughter of Jonathan Reed and Mary Winkel, on 30 Apr 1741 in Boston MA. (Mary Reed was born about 1724 in Boston MA.)
