• He was a partner from 1828 to 1847 with Thomas D. Boardman in New York City NY as BOARDMAN & HART. 9

• Advertised in Jun 1828 (New York City NY), "Coffee Urns, Boardman & Hart, 178 Water St., manufacture and keep on hand a good supply of Britannia Tea and Coffee Urns suitable for steamboats, hotels, and boarding houses; also Tea and Coffee Pots, etc. etc., together with a general assortment of articles of Britannia, Block Tin and Pewter Ware, wholesale and retail."

• Advertised in the New York Commercial Advertiser (New York City NY), 2 May 1831, announcing that "Boardman & Hart have removed their manufactory of Britannia, Block Tin & Pewter Ware to No. 6 Burlingslip between Pearl & Water Sts. Near their former stand."

• Advertised in the New York Commercial Advertiser (New York City NY), 1 Feb 1847, announcing: "Dissolution-The co-partnership hither to existing between the subscribers under the firm of Boardman & Hart is this day dissolved by mutual consent. The business of the late firm will be settled and all claims paid by Lucius Hart. Thomas D. Boardman • Sherman Boardman • Lucius Hart. The undersigned having purchased the entire stock of the late firm Boardman & Hart will continue the business as manufactory & importer of Britannia Ware & Dealer in metals at the old stand.- Lucius Hart."

• He worked from 1847 to 1871 as a pewtersmith in New York City NY as LUCIUS HART & COMPANY. After Hart's death, the firm was continued by Charles E. Huntington and Lucius Hart, Jr. The name was changed to LUCIUS HART MANUFACTURING Co. 9
