General notes: Pewtersmith and silverplater Events in his life were:
• He worked from circa 1840 to 1880 as a pewtersmith in Meriden CT as C. PARKER & Co. By the 1870s, the firm had switched to manufacturing silver plate flatware, for which they recieved a number of design patents. • He was a partner from circa 1860 to 1880 with Russell B. Perkins in Meriden CT as PARKER & PERKINS. • He appeared on the 1880 census taken at Meriden CT, listed as a silverplate manufacturer. Charles married Aby Lewis Eddy on 6 Oct 1831 in Berlin CT. (Aby Lewis Eddy was born on 1 Sep 1811 in New Britain CT.) |
