General notes: Silversmith and jeweler Events in his life were: • Apprenticed from 1844 to 1849 to C. D. Griswold in Orwell VT 6 • He was a partner from 1849 to 1857 with Almon A. Mead in Montpelier VT as PHINNEY & MEAD. 6
• Tradecard, c 1855 • He worked from 1857 to 1863 as a silversmith and jeweler in Montpelier VT with a shop on the corner of Main and State Street. 6 • Advertised in the Bangor Daily Whig and Courier (Bangor ME), 18 May 1861, as part of a groupendorsement of the Waltham Watch Company. • He was a partner from 1864 to 1869 with Denison Dewey in Montpelier VT as DEWEY DENISON & Co, general merchants. 6 |
