• He was a partner from 1865 to 1870 with James R. Murdock in Woodstock VT as J. H. MURDOCK & SON. ⁶

• He worked from 1870 to 1875 as a silversmith and jeweler in Woodstock VT ⁶

James married Augusta M. Streeter. (Augusta M. Streeter was born on 1 May 1816 in Springfield VT and died on 26 Oct 1860 in Woodstock VT.)
