Anthony Davenport
General notes: Silversmith and instrument maker Events in his life were: • He worked in 1825 as a silversmith in Portland ME from a shop "At the Sign of the Quadrant and Compass" in Jones Row on Exchange Street, which he took Oct. 18, 1825. It had been occupied by Henry S. Pearson. Davenport was also a watch- and clockmaker and made mathematical and nautical instruments. 3
• Compass, c 1825 Anthony married Sarah Jackson Little on 10 May 1824 in Portland ME. (Sarah Jackson Little was born on 13 Sep 1801 in Portland ME and died on 22 Jan 1888 in Newburyport MA.) |
