General notes: Silversmith and watchmaker Events in his life were: • Apprenticed about 1803 to Robert Eastman in Brunswick ME 3 • He was a partner from 1806 to 1809 with Robert Eastman in Brunswick ME as EASTMAN & CARY. 3 • He worked from 1809 to 1865 as a silversmith and watchmaker in Brunswick ME having bought out the interest of his old master. 3 • Master to Aaron Lufkin Dennison abt 1825 in Brunswick ME. 3 James married Mary Oakman on 1 Jul 1816. (Mary Oakman was born on 10 May 1786 in Pittston, Kennebec, ME.) |
