• Advertised in the The Pittsfield Sun (Lanesborough MA), 8 Dec 1819, stating "Luther R Lassell of Lanesborough manufactures all kinds of gold and silver work such as watch chains, seals, keys, finger and ear rings, breast pins, and bracelets of every description." ³

• He worked from 1831 to 1845 as a silversmith in Troy NY
Listed there in city directories, but he apparently also worked in Lyon (c 1825), Rochester (c 1827) and Brunswick NY (c 1830), given the birth places of 3 of his 5 children. ³

Luther married Francis Edwards Pierpont on 5 Jul 1824 in Lanesborough MA. (Francis Edwards Pierpont was born on 15 Oct 1800 in Litchfield CT.)
