General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were: • He worked from 1805 to 1815 as a silversmith in Pittsfield MA 3 • Advertised in the Pittsfield Sun (Pittsfield MA), Mar 1808-Dec 1811, numerous times, offering his services as a clock- and watchmaker, silversmith, and jeweler. 3 • Advertised in the Pittsfield Sun (Pittsfield MA), Dec 1811, noting "Strayed! Apprentice Jonathan Chappell!" 3 • Advertised in the Pittsfield Sun (Pittsfield MA), May 1812, offering his shop and tools to let. He is noted in Pittsfield records of this time as an attorney-at-law, indicating that he had changed professions. He continued to run similar ads until 1815. 3 |
