• Boston MA, 1845: named with Ebed Whiton as one of the executors of the estate of Thomas Farnam. ³

• He was a partner from 1850 to 1865 with Jeffrey Richardson Brackett and Samuel Trevitt Crosby in Boston MA as BRACKETT & CROSBY. Rich was nearly blind by this time and did no smithing. ¹²
