General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were: • Apprenticed in 1848 to B. R. NORTON & Co. in Syracuse NY • He appeared on the 1850 census taken at Syracuse NY, listed, with Seymour H. Stone, as a jeweler in the household of their master, Benjamin R. Norton. • He was a partner from 1853 to 1869 with Seymour Henry Stone in Syracuse NY as STONE & BALL, having bought the business of their old master, Benjamin R. Norton. 15 • He appeared on the 1860 census taken at Syracuse NY, listed as a jeweler.
