DEATH: Land deed dated 17 Feb 1802 shows Ethan STONE with a wife named Abigail Maria STONE. From this we believe that Elizabeth MCKAY died before 17 Feb 1802. We went to that county about 2 years ago, and there was an Ethan Stone there in the 1700's, but he would have been too young for the Ethan Stone who married Elizabeth. His wife's name was given as Edah or Edith. Perhaps as son. ... There was a land transaction in Lenox, MA (selling) of an Eathen (sic) STONE and wife Elizabeth, on 12 Aug 1784. This could be our Ethan.
