3. Samuel Alexander³ Ritchie (Samuel Alexander², James¹) was born in Ireland 1690. Samuel died 18 Aug. 1749 in Ameilla South Carolina, at 59 years of age.

He married Jeany Cauldwell Ritchie. Jeany was born in Ireland 1693. Jeany died 16 Aug. 1785 in Farmville, Ameilla County Va., at 92 years of age. At 115 years of age Jeany became the mother of Alexander Ritchie in Abbyville South Carolina, 12 Aug. 1808.

At 118 years of age Samuel became the father of Alexander Ritchie in Abbyville South Carolina, 12 Aug. 1808.

Samuel Alexander Ritchie and Jeany Cauldwell Ritchie had the following child:

+ 4 i. Alexander⁴ Ritchie was born 12 Aug. 1808.
