2 i. Velma Hurt² Ritchie was born in Ritchie Kentucky 02 April 1930. She married Cyrill Brenden Ritchie in Knott Co. Kentucky, 24 October 1950. Cyrill was born in Ritchie Kentucky 16 January 1927. Cyrill was the son of Nicholas Ritchie and Martha Ellen Ritchie Dean. Cyrill died 06 June 1977 in Kendallville Indiana, at 50 years of age. His body was interred 08 June 1977 in Ritchie Kentucky. At 32 years of age Cyrill became the father of Iva Ritchie Shults in Knott Co. Kentucky, 8 Febuary 1959. (See Cyrill Brenden Ritchie for the continuation of this line.)

At 28 years of age Velma became the mother of Iva Ritchie Shults in Knott Co. Kentucky, 8 Febuary 1959.
