Where is this? The next few images show much more forceful eruptions of hot water, perhaps of "Old Faithful", the geyser in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
I have to wonder about the logistics involved in getting a Victorian group of mostly women trussed up in corsets and reams of fabric to such a wild location in the 1880s. I've been told that the first visitors were the wealthy, who came done up in their finery as early as 1855.
