Martha Jane Garrison was born in Kentucky on May 9, 1837, and died July 21, 1912, aged 75 years, 2 months and 11 days.
In 1857 deceased was united in marriage to John W. Pedigo. To this union was born nine children, all of whom have preceded her to the grave except one son, E.W. Pedigo. She leaves this son, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren to mourn her departure.
Mrs. Pedigo moved to Scotland County in 1855 and resided here up to the time of her demise.
In 1874 she united with the Christian Church at Bible Grove and lived a consistent christian life.
Funeral services were held at Bible Grove on Monday, July 22, conducted by Elder Nicoson of Lancaster.
