James Edward Shivers
B. Feb 21 1961 M1. Jul 30 1982, Nesbit, Desoto County, Ms - Divoced. Jul 30 1987 M2. Dec 22 1987, Memphis, Shelby County, Tn 
Born in Frayser Township, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Frayser was a community founded by Shelby Counties earliest settlers and still settled by many descendents. My childhood memories of this place are full of fantastic fun filled days. I attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School,Memphis Catholic High Memphis State University , MIT and various technical and vocational schools. I married 1st to Carla Renee Stanford. This marriage started with the right intentions yet was a failure and ended in divorce. No children were born during this marriage. I married 2nd to Mary Kathleen McNeer. We honeymooned in Florida at the Beach Marriot (later Hurricane destroyed). My youth was spent following faithfully the church and I served as an Alter-Boy for many years. My teen years taught me mechanical technology where I explored vehicles of various types. My career life began early delivering newspapers for the Memphis Press Scimitar at age 13 covering the single largest route in Memphis. I washed trucks for Uhaul, worked on a racing pit Crew for #57 Corvette Racing team. Following my fathers engineering talents I majored in Computer Sciences and worked briefly for Federal Express in their Computer department. I then went to Logistics Management Incorporated increasing technology exposure. After partnering up with a childhood friend and we opened a few business's that taught me a lesson I soon never forget. Next time on my own without partner-jerksters. I moved to the Mountains of North Carolina building Log Houses and relaxing in God's most beautiful and friendly spot on earth the Blueridge Mountains. I currently live secluded 50 miles from any big town and maintain an exciting job at IBM. I spend my free time playing piano,banjo in numerous non-profit volunteer bands performing fundraising concerts. Active in my SCV Camp defending the honor of the Shivers family and 3rd term Camp historian participating in local parades and reenactments. High Performance Cars are in my blood and currently BMW's and Chevy's are the source of my dirty fingernails and a few bloody knuckles.
