It is my understanding that there is a marker placed near Winfield,
Alabama for Alexander Berryhill but I don't know exactly where it is. You
can contact the national or local DAR (Daughters of the American
Revolution) and they can tell you exactly where it is since they are the
ones who erected it.

After his discharge, he lived in Georgia, about 17 miles south of Augusta,
until about 1811, when he moved to Franklin County, Tennessee. He was still
living there as of Sept 2, 1832. About 1836, he moved to Marion County,
Alabama to be near relatives. He lived there until his death in 1839.
Alexander was a farmer by trade. In 1821, he owned 42 acres of land in
Franklin County, Tennessee. He also owned 3 horses, 4 cows and calves, 2
steers, 40 hogs, 4 sheep, 1 cart, 4 hoes, 1 axe, 3 plows and gear, 3 dishes,
3 basins, 6 pots and ovens and 1 frying pan. The total value of his
property was $166.75. This was stated in his pension application, made that
year, along with the statement he was "blind in one eye and infirm".
