I had hoped that by plotting the dates in colour I might spot a trail of migration across the county. Alvaston and Boulton seem to have the highest population of Sherwin's at any one time -their tree is the largest. On the Hearth Tax Assesments of 1662-70 There is a Geo Sherwin and a Tho. Sherwin listed as living there each with 1 hearth.
