Death Notes:
George died in Caradoc, west of London, Ontario, probably late in 1874.
General Notes:
George joined the Royal marines at age 19 years in 1845 and was discharged in 1956 aged 30 years, he received a payment of five pounds on discharge. The 1861 Census shows George aboard 'HMS Mersey', a steam and sail driven wooden warship, moared at Portsmouth Harbour. George is classified as a 'Ships Corporal'. The 1871 Census shows George and Sarah living in the township of Caradoc, Onterio, Canada. George's occupation is shown as a Farmer and that Sarah was born in England.
