I Dudley Hail of the county of Grayson and the State of Virginia do make this my Last Will and Testament in the manner following. To wit my will and desire is that after my debts is paid out of my personal Estate the balance of my personal together with all my real and mixed estate to remain in possesion of my beloved wife Nancy Hail during her life for the use of her and my children and after her death to pass to them all equally which are as followeth. Preston Hail, Burris Hail, Lewis Hail, Polly Hail, Franklin Hail, Sally Hail, Jestin Hail, Olive Hail and Elizabeth Hail. Second my desire is that an inventory and appraisement be made without a sale of the property, unless it is thought necessary by my executors who I shall hereafter appoint for the purposes of paying some of my debts if there is any the use and posession of the property above mentioned by my wife is intended in lue of her dower. And lastly I do constitute and appoint my beloved wife Nancy Hail, Preston Hail, and Francis Hail Excutrix and Excutors of this my Last Will and Testament revolking all former Wills and Testaments by me made. In testemony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of January 1815.
