| "Enoch Osborne settled on New River, near Bridle Creek. Shortly after he came, he 2was joined by three brothers - Solomon, Ephraim, and Jonathan. On the farm of Enoch Osborn [a] fort was built as a precaution against Indians outbreaks and depredations which were common on the border settlements. This early fort stood at or near the present site of Ancella Post Office." | ||
