``The soldiers from Wayne county enlisted in the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth regiments of Indiana Volunteers. The number that served from thsi county is not definitely known, but Wayne, being one of the older counties of the State, supplied more than her quota of men. At least two of these soldiers, each of whom also served int he Civil war, are still living. The yare George L.
