[Transcription © SA Whittle-Bruce 2004] Bicker, Lincs Lewis Topographical Dictionary of England 1831 Bicker, a parish in the wapentake of KIRTON, parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 1 and 3/4 miles ( N.E. by N) from Donington, containing 627 inhabitants; but, with the extra-parochial liberties of Coppin-Sike and Ferry-Corner, 644. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £15, and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. Swithin. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Mathodista. The school has a small endowment for the instruction of children. |
