Henry and Mary JARROD

Henry JARROD was born c1825 in either Hilgay or West Dereham, the son of Benjamin and Sarah (née CARMAN). Henry was an agricultural labourer. Henry appears on every census, living in West Dereham. He lived until 1902. He was buried in West Dereham on 17th Dec aged 77. |
Mary ROOT was born c1823 in West Dereham the child of William and Sarah ROOT (née NAPKIN). Henry was her second husband. (Her first was Richard CHAPMAN whom she married in West Dereham in Jan 1844. He died a year later.) Mary was buried on 3 Feb 1892 at West Dereham, aged 69. |

| Ruth | bap. 17 Apr 1859. Married John YOUNGS in 1880, in Thetford area. Children b. Methwold, Wretham, Binham & Castor. In 1881 they were in West Wretham, in 1891 in Methwold, In 1901 they are found in Castor, Northants. |
| Eliza | bap. 18 Nov 1860. Married Henry REEVE (shepherd from Whittington). In 1891 and 1901 living in Wretton. No children by the looks of it. |
